Default The CS pops another Ferrari Cherry!

I seem to be becoming the official AZ Ferrari de-Flowerer of late.

This past weekend there was a group drive, involving several car clubs that involved one of my favorite Arizona roads. My object was to make as short a work as possible of the mountain switchbacks.... and the group for that matter!

In AZ we have a group of guys that we call the 'car-parazzi', as they seem to be at allot of car events with snapping cameras always at the ready.

Over the week leading up to the drive I got a PM from one of these exotic fans, asking if I had an open seat. He is one of the biggest posters on Fchat... I think somewhere over 18K posts, which boggles my mind!

As he takes his place in my right seat, somehow it came out (to my surprise), that with all his enthusiasm for Ferrari... for all his participation in the Ferrari forum, he had never been in a Ferrari! Another first!

Fortunately, he got to experience the CS and all its visceralness as his first Ferrari experience. He did let on that the 355 is #1 on his wish list. Hopefully, this drive put that goal a little further up his life's list.

    Lucky SOB. jk
Thats awesome. I cant wait to give enthusiasts a ride in my cars like you. I was lucky enough to drive my favorite f car, the 360, and it was unreal. I still dont belive it happened. But the day I get to ride in a CS will be on a whole new level!

THIS! I do the same and I am always taking photos and doing video for my YouTube. To know that owners such as yourself understand where we are coming from as the "Car Parrazzi" is truly amazing! If I'm ever in AZ should I give you a shout? lol

Ashwin is one lucky little bugger!

One day, I'll get to experience a CS. Fell in love with them 5 years back. Just got to sit in one for the first time last month.

If you guys ever wander over to AZ, I am sure we can come up with something for you. I have a fairly large circle of exotic car friends. My big requirement is that you have to be over 18 for extended rides. I wish it didn't have to be that way, but all the unemployed attorneys look for deep pockets to take advantage of.

Short rides and open doors, as well as endless, pathetic car jabber are open to all!

Great to see that you put your car to use. How about a jab at getting a ride in your cosworth

I meant "ride" as in DRIVE

I'd gone for a ride in my grandpa's 328 when I was maybe 5, and sat in a few different Ferraris since then, but my first real experience with a serious Ferrari was a Stradale this summer. (And another nearly identical one this week)

I had always been leaning towards a Lamborghini fan until I got to take this car out for a drive, nothing compares to the purity of driving that you can get in that car. And for my age (22) I've been fortunate to have a job where I get the opportunity to drive some pretty fantastic cars. For example, the R8 V10 Spyder. 525 horsepower, and the thrill of hearing a V10 roar behind you. An absolute blast to drive, but it honestly felt like a bigger, louder, TT S. The Ferrari gives you chills with just a dab of the throttle...

I was able to take it out twice, then the owner gave me a serious rip in it and my only reaction was to laugh, I couldn't even speak! I don't know what car it will take to get a similar reaction now that I've experienced that, but as a friend of mine said as I put up a picture of it on facebook....

"You know it's all downhill from here, right?"

Enjoy your Ferrari in good health, cars like that are a dying breed and will only be appreciated more and more as time goes on.

You ask what will put a smile on your face like a CS? The answer to that is an F40. I had one for a number of years, and the CS is the only car I have driven that even comes close. The F40 was the only car I ever regret selling. The CS will have a permanent home.
