Thread: Ferrari Paint jobs question..

Yes the body is painted in that $100,000,000 POS paint booth that Ferrari don't want to let go, but the bumpers and other fiberglass parts are painted separately... and very badly I might add. All the parts that will be exposed, like the air ducts, etc. are painted by hand and overspray is really not an issue as it will be covered anyway by a panel or something. Ferrari also do many touch up jobs so it's not uncommon to find runs in paint, fish eyes, clear coat oversprays, etc. If you'd like to see some interesting Ferrari paint faults PM me and I'll send you a link to my Ferrari paint correction collection...

Yeah I think he said something like, "When you buy a Ferrari you buy the engine, the car is a gift." But really for an extra 20k I would be livid if I found my paint in the same condition of the Ferraris I've done... that's just a fist up the bung with no kiss IMO. You've seen some of my work right MTK? We just got a demo Scuddy in with 19k on the clock... paint is almost perfect with no OP and only light swirls on it... it was hand-painted... If I ever order an F-Car I'll have Guido down the street paint in for $4-5k!
