    Default 2008 612 OTO or 2011 911 Turbo

I have an opportunity to purchase a loaded '08 612 with 1100 miles or pre-order a 2011 911 turbo. I know this is the Ferrari forum but any unbiased feelings would be much appreciated.

I work on, and am a big fan of both Porsche and Ferrari. The majority of my Ferrari customers own Porsches as well. No bias.

The two cars in question are not really in a comparable catagory. The 612 is a big GT car and the 997TT is a sports car. I think you need to ask your self what type of car you're looking for before you decide on what make.

If it was me I would go for the Porsche. The Turbo is, from what I've heard, a great car. If you would go for the 911, you're also the first owner. Another advantage is that that 911 maintenance is alot cheaper (from what I've read, others can correct me if I'm wrong).

On the other hand, the 612 is a Ferrari. It's a big GT, with a really neat interior and a big ass V12.

I would go for the Porsche, but you have to know what YOU want. The answers on this thread should merely be an influence.

    Good Luck

Italian Passion or German Engineering. Two different Cars but both great in their own way.

Personally i would go with the turbo because
    1. Turbos have cheaper maintnece from what i know of
    2. The Turbo is brand new
    3. Over the years Turbos have not had that many problems and personally i had 3 turbos and their was no major issues with any of them
