They are alot more expensive than most people think.. I guess, i thought the 355 or the 308 would be the least expensive to own. but i don' have one, I just like them alot. I've seen several 308's on the net for around $10,000 and 355's in the $40,000 range. So i wanted to see if the talk was true.I had given thought to a ferrari project car, but maybe i will rethink it . thanks for all the replys

When it comes to reliability / daily driver, the 355 isn't the way to go. As far as other 3 cars, I would get a 328 instead of a 308, it solved the majority of 308 problems but wasn't plagued by the problems of the 348.
However, given your scenario, I wouldn't buy an F-car at all. I'd buy a Porsche or a BMW as Challenge It suggested...generally speaking he's the fuckin man in that dept

I can't imagine a 335 being a poor DD. But, perhaps if you do want lower maintenance costs, at longer intervals perhaps, a Porsche Boxster S (Circa 2009 of course), might do you good. Not sure what your price range is. Like others have said, a lightly used M3 may also be good.

My friend owns an F355 and has had very good luck with it but he is very meticulous and maintenance is always priority for dependibility.
I had an opportunity to hang out with him at his house while two mechanics worked on his car to do a 30Kmile service there. The car had 17K miles but he is taking it to Cali in July to do some car stuff including Monterey.
To service the car, even just changing the belts, you need to drop the motor since there is no access panel to get to the front of the block from inside the cab. Just prepping to drop it takes a day with two guys and two ding dongs looking over their shoulders (supervising).
If maintenance cost is not a concern, the F355 is a good car. Otherwise, look elsewhere. You only LIV 1S - Enjoy.

I still remember the day that my pops came home with an F355 GTS
I loved that car and still do. It was his DD to work which was about 20mins away. A few months later my dad got sick of the puddles of oil in our garage and the constant shop visits and got rid of it... Picked up an s600 and a sel500 instead
so based on my pops personal experience, not the best DD, but one simply amazing car

lolLife is hard, It Chews you up, Spits you out. It Even Sh!ts on you for Good measure. But Fu*k that, You deal with it... The Isolation. The Doubts, The Voices in your head, Getting up every morning in the dark... So why do you do it? Fame? Glory? Getting some ass? Thats just the icing... You do it because you got something to prove to yourself.... Its about Enlightenment, its about looking Destiny square in the eyes, grabbing hold of it, and Never letting go
