Default More pics of Ferrari F40 on HRE by Gas Monkey Garage/Fast n Loud

This car is just too awesome not to share!! Gas Monkey Garage / Fast n Loud really did an amazing job on this. Might be some hate against a mod'd F40, but the car was wrecked to begin with. They kept the car very clean in my book.

I would be more upset if the car wasn't a crumpled tin car to begin with. Makes it easier to handle. I think they did a good job on the resto and the car looks great.

If this had been a clean no damage F40 I think you would have a lot of people crying and pissed off, but since it was created from something that most people wouldn't touch I have to say they did a hell of a good job.

These center-lock wheels really set the car off! Other than that I like the tasteful mods they did across the car. The headlights could be replaced easily and everything else could be returned to Cavallino Concours condition quite easily. Toughest part would be a repaint to factory red, but I like the car as it sits. It seems it'll be much more enjoyable the way they did it. They weren't shooting for a show car they clearly wanted a car they can drive and enjoy.

Dennis ended up keeping the car, the partner who split the cost of the car so he must love it the way it is.
    Its a bargain at $900,000.

Somewhere down the road an enthusiast will get this car and have to spend a fortune making it correct. The value in vintage Ferraris is in originality.

The restoration will be followed by a lengthy article in Cavalino, sighting the 'saving' of an F40.
