do values decrease with each mile driven with one of a kind vehicles?

I'm offended, no one noticed the Prius

Back on topic - you can't take the money with you, might as well enjoy spending it

Exactly. I've read two sources about the previous sale. One says it was bought for $3.5 million in 1996, and the other says $8.5 million 10 years ago. Either way, that's a damn good investment in anybody's book.

spending 35% of your total worth on a car would hardly be considered chump change IMO.

I agree with Turbo Baron and Raw, I would love to have a piece of history. I was watching Top Gear last night when James drove that Ferrari California and I was just thinking how amazing it would feel to own something that special.

if i was a gazilionare i would pay that for such a rare car...guarenteed he doesn't care about the money, he bought it cuz he loved the car and soul that the car represents and the history it represents...thats what your paying for...im sure its not his only multi million dollar investment either...good for him...hats off! i just hope he uses it and it doesn't just sit in a garage.
