John Zapolski's cufflinks made from AK-47

ecently, the designer Roland Iten, known for his mechanical luxury belt buckles, has designed one of the world’s most expensive cufflinks made from the metal of AK-47 assault rifle.

These limited edition cufflinks are produced in a limited edition of 20 only, and are made using the same mechanics used in Swiss watches. Made from 18 karat white and rose gold, these cufflinks also consists of metals extracted from AK-47 assault rifles. The designer intends to launch many other items made from the same metal. The reason behind picking these metals is that it is acquired from one of the most robust machine guns in the world. The designer, Roland Iten believes that the mechanical design will add a new dimension to designing fashionable accessories.

Fonderie 47, founded by John Zapolski and Peter Thum, are now planning to create more stuff made from the metals of AK 47. On an occasion, Zapolski commented:

“We’d like to directly contribute to the removal and destruction of 1 million of them over the next seven years,”

The company claims sale of one pair of cufflinks is sufficient to support the purchase and demolition of 100 assault rifles in Africa. These limited edition cufflinks will be retailed at $32,630 and would be one of the most expensive creative pairs of cufflinks available in the world.

Hey if you got 100 mil to spend on a house, 650k to spend on a watch, 32k is chump change. Its all about exclusivity. Love it.

Oh, I agree with you. But the only thing that is cool to me about them, is that they are made with ak47 metals.

And AK's cost no where near 30k. Those are some tough links though.

Damn this is badass! AK's might not cost so much, but looking at the details on it - I like.

Very cool design that's some serious craftsmanship, but far from the most expensive pair of cufflinks, very far....

Genius! Reading comprehension! If you purchase them the $30k will go to destroying 100 AK47'S in war torn Africa............

its cool to look at and have as a novelty but it a little over the top.

Definitely worth the money to me... Cufflinks iss definitely a dying art. Craftsmanship, attention to detail, cool factor and it actually going to a good cause to me is worth every cent
