Default Need help spending $2000...on a suit

Hey guys...I just got a $2000 gc to a nice mens store in Pittsburgh. We basically traded services which is cool, but I don't like to make a habit of it...cash is king...

anyway...on their website these are the brands I can choose from for a new suit. I want a solid navy suit that will last a long time. i dress conservatively.

    Suggestions?

the biggest issue will be fit - buy the one that fits the best & you feel most comfortable in. comfort = confidence = impressiveness.

I would go in, get measured, tell them what you like and they should be able to help you out from there. If you have a business relationship that's even better. Forget the brands and just have them put you in something you feel confident in.

he doesn't have credit at a tailor, he has credit at a men's store selling the brands he listed.

tailored is not necessarily beter - you still need a good tailor

Brioni or Zegna! I bought a Zegna a couple months ago and it is superb! Comfortable, fashionable and I feel confident in it.

Brioni or Zegna, although I bet both will cost you extra.

Chuck is right though, fit before brand name. It's all in the fit.
