The Art of Shaving
I use a straight razor and I hate having razor burn after shaving, especially when I then have to go outside at cold temperatures with my super sensible skin and my neck/beard area feels really uncomfortable and makes me wish that I wouldn't have shaved.
I used to use Gliniques after shave which stings when applying and leads to very red skin. It also leaves the skin oily feels uncomfortable aswell
Then I found the solution last week by accident in a mall. Its a shop called "The Art of Shaving". As the name says, they have everything you need for the perfect, comfortable shave.
I bought their full size kit, which comes with:
-Pre-Shave Oil
-Shaving Cream
-Post-Shave Oil
and a shaving brush out of pure Badger hair.

There are 4 scents to choose from: Lemon, Lavender, Sandelwood and unscented. I went for the lemon one!
Lemon Shaving Cream Kit: Top Quality Shaving Kit
I shaved today after a week using their 4 stages and damn that was the most comfortable shave I ever had in my life! No pulling/ripping, no blood and most important: No freaking razor burn!!
The $100 are very well invested and I recommend this to anyone who is annoyed with crappy shaving! Its not something life substantial, but it makes something boring and sometimes painful like shaving very pleasent!!
Let me know what you think

I fully agree that this product line is great. I would recommend upgrading to the fine brush which is softer on the skin.

Too much work, I use a Machine and I'm out of the bathroom with a full shave in 7Min. With these things, you gotta either have a lot of time, and too much mess.

I shave in the shower with one of those battery operated vibrating razors...only way I'd ever shave.

I used to shave once a week and by then I had a little more than just a 2 day beard. Used the electric razor but that took ages, hurt and wasent as clean.
I agree that for a daily shave and if you dont have much time in the morning, electric is the way to go.
But for a super clean feeling/look I'd always go for the blade....Last edited by Germany; 03-20-2011 at 09:15 PM.

Electric shaver all day. I have one of those base stations so its always charged and ready to go, I hate dealing with batteries.
That kit looks great though, very classy
