Well that goes without saying, but you can easily dress down a suit and make it look less business.

I was probably getting ahead of myself though, since all of this depends on what his sport coat looks like.

I've determined that I'm either going to wear grey flanels and my navy blazer, or i will wear my navy blue suit with a light blue(or pink striped) button down and unbutton the top 2 buttons. my last option is to wear the suit and wear a nice shirt with a nice tie.
