Just over a month ago I introduced you two Linde Werdelin’s newest pieces, the “Tech Green” and “Tech Gold”. These new watches are part of the SpidoLite II family and feature a forged carbon case in combination with a proprietary ultra-light alloy inner case. I think that the term “Carbon Tech” is a better and more exciting descriptor of this watch, but that’s just me. Anyway, as I said in my initial introduction of the SpidoLite carbon tech, the materials innovation here is a perfect fit for LW’s already high-tech, modern sport watches. My favorable impression of these watches was reinforced when I met with Linde Werdelin a few weeks ago at Baselworld. Below are some hands on pics along with a bit of commentary and ordering information.



Although it is of course smooth to the touch, I find the forged carbon case to have a raw look to it, with a lot of natural graining and variation — not uncommon for forged carbon, but these turned our particularly good from my perspective. It looks really, really good and takes the aesthetic of the SpidoLite II to a whole new level.



Here is a closer look at the semi-skeletonized dial of the Tech Green. The date display, which I have noted as needing legibility improvement on the Ti models, is very legible here:













The SpidoLite II Tech Green is priced at $14,000 and the Tech Gold is $19,300 (rose gold) – each limited to 75 pieces. After some research, I found that many had high pressure fuel pump failure. I don't think I'd be looking at new one...so with that said anyone hear own any Audi TDIs? Any problems, things I should look out for? Really looking at diesels because I drive long distances and I don't see my fuel consumption decreasing any time soon, in fact it'd just increase.

Another question....what's a red flag as far as mileage for the TDIs? We have a bunch of diesels in our amb fleet but their for commercial use, can't really compare a Dodge Sprinter of Ford Econoline with a Q7.
