32,000 Square-Foot $40 Million Dean Estate Sells To New Owner

Dean Gardens, once home to Larry Dean and former wife Lynda located in Johns Creek, GA (North Fulton County Georgia/NorthAtlanta, GA), has reportedly been sold to a new owner for $7.6 million. Over many years the asking price for the estate has ranged from $40 million to $20 million.

The Deans’ elaborate 58-acre estate includes an eight-bedroom pink mansion, an 18-hole golf course and its own wedding chapel. The house and estate took over 4 years to build. At one time Michael Jackson was interested in purchasing the property but it never came to fruition.

Many speculations have circulated as to what would happen to the property in the future from it being demolished, to the new buyer using it as his/her private home. In addition to the reported speculations from many online sources, rumors have surfaced that movie producer/ actor and entertainment mogul Tyler Perry is the new owner of the Dean’s estate.

Regardless of which story holds to be true about the Dean’s estate, it appears to be a historical and truly remarkable home portrayed in the various photos below.

Been there for 2 charity events. It's about 20 minutes from my house. I like La Reve better though. It's 47,000 sqft!

It's asking price is around $40 million higher so I hope it's better.

At one time, they were both for sale together. Dean Gardens ($40 million) and La Reve ($45 million). La Reve is down to $21 million. It's been sloping for 5 years. Check out the home's personal site if you get the chance. It's AMAZING and better in person

I've been on the site it really is a amazing house. I'm wondering why Lee Najjar house is priced higher then it.

Location. La Reve is in Cumming which is about an hour north of Atlanta. Lee's house is on W Paces Ferry in the heart of Buckhead and is 25,000 sqft and is across from the govenor's mansion basically. Then again, have you seen Lee's place? lol The pool side is rediculous!!!! Looks like a hotel. The home across from him sold for $20 mill and it's only 9,000 sqft. it's all about location. His realestate taxes are north of $100,000 a year though

Yeah I've seen his house and it's been in music videos and movies but I would rather live in La Reve for the money.
