Default Anybody who has imported a car from Europe to US.. school me

I really want to import a car from Europe, nothing crazy just an average priced normal car, wondering what all is involved in importing? cost? thanks in advance! people who say things like "no it's not worth it" don't bother replying I don't really care for your lack of perseverance.

My cousin specializes in bringing American cars to Europe, more specifically France. What you trying to do?

Shit I'm too tired, I totally read it the opposite way, from the US to France, not vice versa. Sorry! Yeah I'd LOVE to rock some French stuff here... I had someone who did it once, a V6 Clio Sport. But I think it was just for off road use only.

Haha no worries, the V6 Clio is the mid engine rwd hatch right? Do you know if there are a lot of costs involved from what you know with your cousin exporting to France?

Depending on how much you need to do, to get it to meet US standards (crash regulations, emissions, etc) there can be a lot of cost involved if you want to register it for street driving. I wanted to bring over a Sierra Cosworth that I have overseas but there was too many headaches involved as to what I needed to do in order for it to meet the stricter US standards.
