So no real discussion about engines on here? tisk, tisk...

I've recently driven both and they are both great cars; my vote is for the Jag. The 5.0 engine is now standard across the entire line up, and its a BEAST (385 hp and 380 lb-ft) compared to the 4.2 in the Audi (350 hp and 325 lb-ft).

I also think the Jag looks like nothing else out there, whereas the the A6 is almost understated to a fault.

In Canada, they're rougly the same price with similar features. I'd go for the Jag because it priced more appropriately than the A6. You get the V8, better inteior, sexier exterior look, and more standard features. It all comes down to RWD or AWD. Only get the A6 if you really need the AWD for snowy conditions, otherwise get the XF.
I live in LA lol, i dont need awd at all. Im so indecisive about cars, i change my mind every day. The jag is just sexy in my mind and the A6 is more sensible.

Well the A6 doesnt even come in 4.2 v8 form anymore.

That'll teach you to take advice from me! ;-) Sorry, I was thinking about the 2011's. I think they got rid of the V8's in the Q7's as well. :-/

So a 5.0 V8 vs. a 3.0sc V6…kinda’ apples and oranges, right? The 28 mpg in the Audi is pretty cool though.
