    Default M3 or C63?

I'm a long time lurker and a first time poster. I haven't posted an intro post for two reasons. First, I couldn't find the section and second, every time I come here I get distracted by a cool thread and forget to post an intro.

Anyway, for my first post I'm going to ask which you would pick between an M3 sedan or C63? For the purpose of the question both are 2012 and money is not a consideration. Actually, the only role money plays in the equation is in a tie. For example, you can't decide on which to go with so you pick the one that is a better value (or something like that)

I've sort of narrowed down my next car purchase to these two, so that's why I'm looking for inputs. Please share your ideas about both cars.

Great site btw. I like how there really is no flaming here. I haven't come across any fighting like you see on other sites. I'm thinking this is because most, if not all members, aren't posers looking to one up the next guy, but instead have a lot in common (be it cars, cigars or whatever). Watch what will happen...this thread is going to start a flame war I hope not.

Also, if my description of the thread doesn't make sense please post questions or suggestions. Bottom line, I'm just trying to get a feel for what you guys think is the "better" car.

welcome to the 4 my friend!

in regards to your actual thread, i personally have driven numerous e90/e92 m3s and a c63's once as of now; as far as each car, they both offer something totally different (besides the fact there in the performance luxury sport () class. the M3 is an amazing vehicle and offers the best in everything, be it interior design to what is under the hood or even the manuverabiliy

the c63 is also quite the car, and even though my experience is limited thus far, i can say that straight up; the C63's insane amount of torque/power over the m3 can really show through when you put these two to the track; the interior is def. a step in my opinion over the m3 and it is tastefully designed, as far as design I have to give it to BMW even the C63 is very attractive also

BMW will take the cake for me on one reason alone, BMW and Benz both boast sport/luxury but I feel like BMW hits more on the sport then Benz does and as a younger generation and enthusiast sport holds much more for me when it comes to car buying decisions
The only number that matters, 4.

Having experience with both, my vote goes for the M3. The technology in that car alone not to mention the v8 engine is ridiculous! You can also get DCT or MANUAL, in the C63 you only get automatic. It's the last hoorah for NA cars in the ///M brand. The C63 might have more torque, but the M3 is much faster to drive around turns - thus making it a much more fun car to drive all around. If you go on YouTube and watch the comparison videos between the two and the Audi RS4 (Top Gear and Fifth Gear) the M3 wins every time because it is just that damn good.

Go test drive and see what you like of course

The better car is the m3, and thats an end of it.
If you just care more about looks and sound you might go for the AMG.

    ^^ 100%.

Personally I am very picky (interior, exterior, performance, etc..) and the M3 would be my pick. Not a fan of the C63 interior..

C63... Mercedes is the way to go IMO. I'm thinking of getting a C63 also....AMG pkg is a MUST.

I'm a biased Merc/AMG guy, so I'm certainly going to lean towards the C63. Shooting for that as my next car as well.

I agree with some that have posted that the M3 is a better car, but that doesn't factor in to my decision personally. I'd still rather have the C63, even knowing the M3 is a better car.

It really depends on what you'd like from a car. The M3 is a better balanced car and is better around the bends. The C63 isn't as common and has a monster of an engine. My personal preference is the for M3. If you go that route, make sure you check off the Competition Package option. Also try out the DCT transmission even if you're sure you like manual transmissions. It really is an amazing gearbox.
