The Alfa Romeo 4C just launched in North America and already the brand is already preparing an even hotter version.
Our spy photographers managed to grab some shots of a prototype for the 4C Quadrifoglio Verde, a sportier version of the Italian car. This version is expected to include a bump in horsepower, unique suspension tuning and improved brakes. The standard 4C uses a 1.75-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 237 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque.
In the photos, we can see new air intakes which have been installed onto the car. The first set is just beside the headlights while the second set is just behind the doors, both of which are meant to funnel air onto the brakes for additional cooling. A small spoiler on the trunk completes the visual changes present on this prototype.
The life cycle for the 4C in America is slated to be roughly four or five years and Alfa Romeo has already said that we can expect annual updates throughout its life cycle to keep it exciting and fresh.
How about matching the weight of the US version to the Euro version first...
