Geeze this thread went downhill. It's simple, what would be racing in the same class as the Veyron? It's all about rules and regulations, and simply enough there just isn't a class for it. Whoever brought up the whole manual vs. automatic argument, and the argument about ideal test tracks.... Try to bring in at least a somewhat relevant argument.

The sight of a Veyron sliding off track and hitting the wall would make even the most jaded oil Sheik weep openly. It would be cool to take one to a local auto-cross event, though.

If you're racing to prove something, you're in it for the wrong reasons.

I think its funny how people think the ring is a good measure of speed, and is better than the top gear track.

How can a 300hp EvoX run better times than a 559hp CTS-V? The car is by no means faster, nicer, and any better at performance besides at the one track. Yet, evo owners love to brag about this turbo lagging, torque steering, cars that feel like the doors are off a Camary.

People who get movement in the lumber yard every time the phrase, "The Ring" is used make me LOL.

I am guessing these are the same people who think BMW produce quality cars...

You don't buy a Bugatti to race it, you buy it to experience perfection and the most confident, exhilarating, and most beast car money can put you in.
I guess everything is relative, and also subjective depending how you define quality...but BMW does produce quality cars.
