Yes. it drinks hell of fuel because of its massive engine. it would be needing refueling again and again.

I can just hear the screams from purists if someone actually tried it... first step, gut the interior and install a cage.

Screw all the haters. It'd look sick to have a Bugatti out there racing. However, I don't think it'd be rational for an individual (too costly) or the manufacture (likely wouldn't get many more additional sales) to go through with it.

on GR4 Bugattis were being raced on a track. So this thread has now been confirmed.
I think its funny how people think the ring is a good measure of speed, and is better than the top gear track.
How can a 300hp EvoX run better times than a 559hp CTS-V? The car is by no means faster, nicer, and any better at performance besides at the one track. Yet, evo owners love to brag about this turbo lagging, torque steering, cars that feel like the doors are off a Camary.
People who get movement in the lumber yard every time the phrase, "The Ring" is used make me LOL.
I am guessing these are the same people who think BMW produce quality cars...
You don't buy a Bugatti to race it, you buy it to experience perfection and the most confident, exhilarating, and most beast car money can put you in.A world where medical advances allow us to live forever is a terrifying thought...

The same people who brag about ring times are the same people who love driving 3 pedal cars, aka the "proper gearbox".
People study these Ring Times and dyno race these cars and it makes me scratch my head. Yet, when the same car with even a GREAT driver is put head to head say in a porsche with a 6 speed vs. the same driver in a car with PDK transmission the times are going to be 15+ seconds apart with the PDK transmission lapping a better time.
Companies like Lexus with the LF-A are having to put tons and tons of computers in their cars to "take the drivers out of them". Letting a computer take care of more and more creates better times. If people would stop obsessing over these times, I honestly think more manual gear boxes would be available.
(personally I hate manual gear boxes)A world where medical advances allow us to live forever is a terrifying thought...

Sorry but I've never made the connection between people obsessing over Ring/lap times and the love of the manual gearbox.
And I'm positive that I have never read or heard anyone say that a manual gearbox is faster than a dual clutch.
What's up with all the hate for people who loves a 3-pedal car? It feels like the internet is treating us like hippies just because we prefer to shift ourselves in some cars..
