New Member: My introduction
Good evening L4P.
I´m a new member to L4P but not new to the forum itself as I have been in & out over the last 1-2 years as a reader.
Trying to find a forum that is distinctive and still informative these days is quite a challenge and I have been through quite a few.
It´s very sad to say that there are only very few which hold up to the quality of L4P (like TS of which I am also a sporadic member
) but I am very glad to be here & moreover glad that this forum also is here
I look more than I write which is why it has taken me so long to join but never the less I have become very attached to L4P over the past 2 years.
About myself: My name is Chris and I primarily live in Switzerland and have spent a better part of my early years in Florida & the Caribbean.
I´m going on to my better 40´s now and work with IMO one of the finest Swiss watchmaking companies.
As I would like to respect L4P´s rules and not single out any other competition I will not name the company openly or advertise.
I have owned quite a few BMW´s over some time and therefore have a great affinity towards them, particularly the M Division of which I have owned 2.
The current M3 Coupé DCT has been in my garage for almost 4 years (and yes pics will come
).
I do a bit of travelling and also like to fly (myself) but rearly hardly ever get the time to do so, for which I compensate by doing the next best thing: I EAT !!
I love good food & that means preparing it as well as also enjoying it
Now to my obvious reason for registering here:
I have decided that amongst other areas of interest I need a lot of information on my next purchase as I am getting somewhat tired of BMW
Now I´m not saying that M or BMW is a bad thing ! Please don´t get me wrong, they are superb cars and I truly enjoy them BUT I am looking into the alternatives in life and would like to further my horizon in two separate directions. I will be opening a new thread to address this dilema as I do not know where really to post it.
The problem:
I love the Aston Martin V8 Vantage 4.7 very much as a beautiful GT and something to enjoy on special days and occasions.
I however love to hit the unlimited German Autobahns every now and then and of course the Nürburgring every year to track my car and enjoy the circuit for what it is, just great !
Therefore I´m also looking at the Corvette GS or Z06 as a pure fun car.
My dilema is that I cannot get both cars as I am not the owner of a bank, oil field or the cullinan diamonds
and will not sell my M3 because my wife wants to have it for herself
I would kindly like to ask that one of our older members or a Moderator tell me where to post this topic before I mess up or disorganise any order in here
I would also like to kindly request that no comments in the matter of choices be written here please as this is an introduction and I want to collect everyones feedback in the coming thread dedicated to this topic.
Until then, I thank you for reading and hope to be a contributing member in the future.
Cheers

Welcome to L4P. Glad to have you here as a member, I would say the main automotive forum would be the best place for this discussion. I hope you enjoy your stay here and I guess I will wait for you to start your three to give my opinion.
