    better for the electronics section....

I'll let some other people field this so that I can just take all of their opinions, summarize them and wow everyone with how neutral I remained.

I have the T-Mobile Galaxy s2 and it is by far the greatest phone I've ever used. Twice the power of the iPhone. 1 inch bigger screen, It's got 48Gb memory and a removable battery. Oh and I can completely customize it by rooting it and using different ROM's. As for the apps, there's only a couple for the iPhone that I haven't been able to get for Android.

Normally I would agree but the Electronic section barely gets any traffic compared to off-topic

I love my HTC Evo Shift..I wouldn't trade it for an Iphone. I love having a keyboard. Girlfriend owns the iphone and she loves it. As for the apps..most of the apps she has I have on mine.

I've used both, but I continually go back to the iPhone. Most android devices I have used lacked the finished feel of the iOS. They had speed issues, instability, and with most, the phone itself had a lacking form-factor.

There's also just too many damn devices. Motorola, for example, puts a new Android device out every week it seems (Obv I'm exaggerating a bit here...). So unlike with the iPhone, where your device becomes outdated in a year, your device with Android is out of date in a month! And a few months later, they drop support for it all-together, and you don't get the new versions of the Android OS. Once that happened I gave up on Android entirely.

It is more like every 4-6 months a new flagship model comes out, which really isn't too bad, plus you don't have to wait to see the newest hardware pushed into a mobile platform, unless they totally fubar the timeframe, which most carriers have done at least a couple times. And there is still support for the Nexus one, which is a 2 year old phone I'm not sure on the others but that ain't too shabby.

I have had a lot of iOS and android devices in the past couple of years, and I have to say I'm an android fan. But there are a large amount of reasons to pick up an iPhone, the architecture of the OS, the GPU, and you get to spend time at the genius bar.

This is a debate that has been on L4P many many times though, if you sift through you will find many different examples of key differences and great reviews from people who have owned both.

They come out with the iPhone and it's already outdated. My Sony Ericsson from 2005 had a front facing camera and a rear 8MP camera just like the 4s. And Apple claims Siri is the greatest thing on earth where that technology has been around forever and most of my previous phones have had it.

HTC sense on Android is the best there is! Iphone has a great OS but Android is more customizable, even when not rooted.

Android market apps and itunes apps are pretty much the same. Android has more free apps.

For hardware there are also allot of phones that have bigger screen, (removable) better battery, sd-card slot,...

Iphones are great phones, but if you like to customize it or don't want to have a phone that everybody has buy an HTC with Android.

I give it to the iPhone solely on user interface design; it blows Android away but many times I have wished for the functionality of the Android OS (like Widget, real multitasking)
