I would personally only do wireless (contacts) if wiring is not an option. Hardwired is cleaner, no worries with batteries, and in general more reliable. With that said we install GE equipment and with their own dedicated wireless frequency I've never had an issue with their products. I've been using them almost exclusively for the past 10 years.
Now wireless in terms of monitoring (cellular) is a requirement for me.
You said pitbulls as in plural. Do they roam inside the home while you are gone? Motions could be an issue or not as effective if the combined weight of the dogs exceeds 60lbs (my recommendation). They make motions designed for 100lbs+ but I feel that is not a great option as a human can imitate that large of an animal.

A security system is great, but there are other things that can make a big difference.
-Exterior lights on sensors
-No single-cylinder door locks within 2 feet of glass
-Only post about your trips post factoThere are only four sports: bullfighting, motor racing, mountaineering, and troll hunting; all the rest are merely games.

I live 30 floors up, no neighbors.... only way you can get to my place is via the elevator which has cameras, door lady and security or come from above and swoop down on the balchony then get lifted back up again or base jump down. Honestly if you do all that then get into my safe then you can have all my stuff because you deserve it.

Hi, you all shared really nice information about the home security alarms and security system. Actually such devices have become essential appliances for our homes, so I think this man is right who's say "if you don't have impact glass I would make sure to do a combo of glass break detectors with motion detectors. Contacts for all doors and windows and cellguard".so must install the secuirty alarms and fire alamrs for saving your property and precious lives too.

Sounds like the pad Bradley Cooper was living in at the last scenes of Limitless. On another note, I would just build a panic room with everything you can possible need and make it accessible from every important room in my house(kids room, master beroom, etc, etc) Maybe a hidden space behind the closet that leads to the room? that would be awesome.
