    Default Home Wireless Networks

I just picked up a new wireless router for our home - Asus RT-N66U.

Coming from the old draft-N framework, this thing literally transformed wireless access in our home. Running two bands simultaneously with significantly improved signal reach and strength leaves us wanting for nothing now. We don't live in a mansion so we don't need repeaters, and having improved control over the router via a more refined firmware interface makes setup a dream. No longer does downloading large files compromise the connection of other devices.

So L4P - how do you have your wireless air configured?

Cisco poe for the house. Overkill yes, but also use it to repeat cell signals as well.

That Asus looks awesome. I use to manage the cisco wireless LAN controllers with half a dozen AP's at my previous office. Set them up with wireless VoIP and everything, pretty fun

I want to get a better wireless system installed. I want more range and speed. Heard Cisco was the way to go, but it seems so difficult to get the right info from their website.

ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router. Now sadly it's hooked to time warner cable, but trying to save 30$ a month and not go with fios yet.

I love my FIOS, but I wish I had an amazing WIFI system. Everyone I buy claims to be the latest and greatest...but they all FAIL!

Ruckus Wireless is the way to go if you want the best but you are always limited from the speed coming into your home

Well, I am looking for something with amazing (read...AMAZING) range and speed.

I have been through too many brands of wifi devices to count...always to be disappointed. I am looking for something that will have no problem covering a 6000 Sq Ft home as well as the outdoor areas around the home. Something that is reliable and easy to maintain. I don't need a system that will handle tons of simultaneous users...I don't think I would ever have more than 30 concurrent devices involved at any given time. Any recommendations of which Rukus device(s) I should be looking at?

    Thanks
