Skype question
I am new to Skype, have never used it, but am looking at it as a possible solution to making international calls. Sorry if this is confusing.
I am going to Thailand this summer and will be using getting a phone to use there when I get there. Since the number will be international, I was told to look into having my cell phone number forwarded to my Skype account and my Skype account forwarded to my new cell number in Thailand. So if someone calls me, who is paying for the minutes?------

All i use overseas is Skype and I my Blackberry off completely. I just buy credit and make calls back home to land lines. The cost of Skype call is next to nothing if your calling a mobile/land line back home and free Skype to Skype.
To be honest I didn't even you know you use your own number on Skype. Not sure who would pay either.Web sambetten.com

You can get a Skype number. It'll first try to ring you on Skype, if you're online using their software/app. Afterwards, (as per your configurations), it'll forward the call to your phone number (SIM card based).
Your Skype credits will incur the cost (US to Thailand Skype calling cost) when someone calls on your Skype number and it gets forwarded to Thailand phone number. (US being where the Skype number comes from, Thailand being the destination number's place).
Hope that helps.
