There was a big DC meet & drive last year that was a total clusterf*#k. It wasn't only L4P though, it was on multiple forums.

east coast (excluding FL) is very business professional. People wear coats and ties, drive S class Mercedes and are married to naturally beautiful and well educated women. West coast is flashy (new money) with men in ferraris with bimbo modded women in the passenger seats. It looks more fun and more showy so west coast gets more attention. We are hidden and secretive on East Coast
