Default What are good spots in Pittsburgh?

Thinking of visiting a buddy here soon. Kinda wanna know if there are any good clubs and stuff here. He stays mostly around the campus area so doesn't know about clubs in the city.

I'll ask my buyers tomorrow. I visit often, about once a month, but never stayed more than a couple of hours. Maybe this will lengthen my trips.

I got a reply from my buyer. The places are all near or around Station Square and Southside. If you hit any of these up, let me know if you find anything good there. Happy hunting.

    Bars:
    - Mcfaddens
    - Jacks
    - Jimmy D's

    Clubs:
    - Zen
    - Dolce
    - Elixir

if you head to the airport, the southwest terminal can get you a RT flight to Philly for $100

Seriously though, what's your age? and what are you looking for?

If younger, head to UPitt area and the bars along the river (Waterfront area). I think this area is also known as Station Square.

If older and more $ to spend, can't beat the dinners at the top of the trolly, great for casual conversation.

I'm 32 and have never had a problem hanging out in the college area bars as the age range is 21-35 with the bulk being in mid 20's.

this is where i've lived for the last four years...what do you want to know?

    need more specifics...
If you just want a drunken shit fest go to the Southside which has more bars per square mile than any other place on earth. seriously..
Best spot down there, where the athletes go all the time, is Nakama. Hibachi/Sushi place with a real nice bar. Lots of quality Pittsburgh Yinzer 30 something girls there smoking cigarettes and drinking cosmos...

If you want to go high class and want the ultimate night out you go to Monterey Bay on Mt Washington for dinner and then Prive in the strip for grinding on skanks. On your way to Prive stop at Poor Richards to get a cigar. If you're hungry at 2am either go to Belle Note for slices or Primanti's for fat sandwiches that will give you the shits when you wake up.
Good night will be about a grand...Pittsburgh's cheap...

    ....and....

If you are limited to the campus area which is Oakland I would at the very least hop a cab to Shadyside and go to Doc's and Shady Grove. Good food, beer, wine, and plenty of girls looking to see what watch and jeans you're wearing because you can bet your ass they have the newest Louis purse and the perfectly manicured landing strip to go with it.
