Thread: Anyone know if there are any speeding cameras on route 50 going towards Ocean City?

So i went to the Ocean City, Maryland last weekend and i was speeding 70 on a 55...as everyone around me was, and i noticed what it appeared as 2 cameras on a portable pole.with wheels near the median. I then realized that it could have been a speeding camera, it was near OC on Route 50 going towards OC. If anyone knows, please let me know. And there are no warnings near there saying photo enforced or anything.

No that's not a speed camera. Those things are used by the MDOT CHART program to monitor beach traffic. In Maryland all the portable speed cameras are attached to the front of white Jeeps parked on the side of the road.

That said, I wouldn't speed too much on the Eastern Shore because the State Troopers have that completely covered and they will come down hard on you.

Thanks so much. I was afraid because I already got pulled over about 3 weeks ago for speeding and I didn't want to pay for another ticket. I go there once a year, but thank you for the info
