Skyline drive is one of the best roads to cruise down... Not sure how far it is for you but there are cruises there all the time.. Its been afew years since I've made it out there...It's about 2 hours from Baltimore MD, and I have a feelings it would be about the same for you but totally worth it if you have the time on a Sunday to make it out there.
I would investigate though, I heard rumor that a bunch of the forest burned down this past year. Its a long road so IDK but the view and the road are definitely worth the drive it takes to get there

I live in Chesapeake and there are several good driving roads here. The Hickory section of Chesapeake (near Edinburgh) has a lot of back roads with very little traffic. Route 17 in Chesapeake is pretty nice too. Some areas of Suffolk are pretty nice for cruising. Mt Pleasant is a good road as long as there is not a lot of traffic. I know there are a lot more but I can't seem to remember them now. Once I remember, I'll send you a message.
