    Default Statue of Liberty

    So I'm planning a trip to NY in the end of July and one place I wanted to go was to the crown of the Statue of Liberty. While looking for tickets I found out they're all sold out till September! This is the one time I'll be in NY and I would really like to make it up there. Just out of curiosity is there any other way to get tickets to get up their? Has anyone been up to the crown before? Will I be missing much?? Thanks

    Oh strange, for some reason i thought they had stopped allowing people inside.

    Same here, but I remember only certain parts being off limits for repair. This is news to me also

    I thought it was closed permanently after 9/11 except for special occasions?

    But I've been to NYC numerous times and only went to Statue of Liberty once and never to the top.

    they reopened it like 2 years ago but it is super hard to get p there... you are not really missing much though.. it is a small stairway and the heat + smells (from people) do not make it a pleasant visit lol

    Agreed! Plus there's plenty of other places I'd go instead as far as NYC goes.
