Default Fabspeed Month of July Review---Scuderia/Murcielago/Track Day VIDEOS

    Fabspeed Month of July Review
This has been one of the busiest months for Fabspeed Motorsports and I want to share what has been going on inside shop doors since we haven’t been posting on the forums recently. Starting from the first of the month and ending last week, this post will coordinate all installations, events, and new products regarding Fabspeed Motorsport.

    July 1st
We had a local enthusiast bring his brand new, Audi S6 V10 to our shop for a custom Maxflo exhaust system and EVOMSit ECU Upgrade. First we strapped the 5.2L V10 to our AWD Dynojet to run a baseline. Then we custom built a set of Maxflo mufflers with dual-style T304 stainless steel polished tips. While the fabricators were busy manufacturing the exhaust system, we removed the two ECU modules and recalibrated them utilizing the EVOMSit tune. After the exhaust and ECU upgrade were finalized, the S6 went back onto the dyno. Verified gains of +50HP/44 ft-lbs. of torque to the wheels.

    July 5th
Drove to F.C. Kerbeck in New Jersey to pick up a customer’s Lamborghini Murcielago for the install of our newly designed, 70mm X-Pipe, 4.5” deluxe Tips, and EVOMSit ECU upgrade.

    July 6th
Fabricators removed the stock 2ndary catalytic converters, large muffler, and ugly tips. With the stock products removed, development will begin on the new Maxflo 70mm exhaust system.

On the same day the fabricators finalized the 986 Boxster Maxflo race
exhaust prototype system, ready to be built, polished and installed.

    July 7th
986 Boxster Race system polished and ready to be installed. This race system is used by BGB Motorsports for the Grand-Am Continental Tire series on their 987 Caymans.

Fabricators developed a 70mm X-Pipe which replaces the stock 2ndary catalytic converters and large muffler, and bolts directly to our large 4.5” T304SS tips.

    July 8th
BMW E9x M3 Maxflo mufflers with dual-style tips finalized and ready for sale. Complete T304 stainless steel which bolts to the stock resonator or Fabspeed’s X-Pipe for even more power and sound.

    July 9th
Shipped a Panamera Turbo X-Pipe to the Netherlands for a loyal customer.

    July 10th
Fabspeed Motorsport hosted a PCA Tech Meeting lead by longtime PCA Club Driver - Instructor Larry Herman. Larry taught the Riesentotor members driving dynamics regarding various suspension setups from full race cars to daily driving vehicles. This was the first PCA club event held at Fabspeed and we will be hosting more in the future. We want to thank Larry Herman, and all of the PCA members for attending.

    July 13th
Lamborghini Murcielago 70mm X-Pipe and 4.5” dual tips are finalized and ready for testing. Both products are direct bolt-on and will work with the factory components.

    July 15th
We unveiled a new addition to the 911-964-993 Porsche market with the release of our resonated X-Pipe, dual-inlet/dual-outlet muffler bypass for the RSR Header-Muffler kit.

The owner and lead engineer at Fabspeed Motorsports flew to the U.K. to visit Unison Technologies for additional training on the new C.N.C. machine. While there they attended the Farnsborough Air Show.

    July 16th
Installation of our 200 cell sportcats on a 1997 Ferrari F355.

We had a special delivery on this Friday, a very loyal customer shipped his Ferrari Scuderia to Fabspeed for the installation of our catbypass pipes and ECU recalibration. The Scuderia already had our headers, sportcats, and ECU installed.

    July 17th
Fabspeed Motorsport in accordance with Evolution Motorsports hosted an exclusive track day at NJMP Lightning track, during the ROLEX race weekend. We had a great turnout with many exotic vehicles on hand, notables includes the Gumpert Apollo, Ferrari Scuderia, EVO’s Porsche 997.2 Turbo EVT 650, 997TT EVT1200, Lamborghini Gallardo, BMW M3 Sport Edition, and many other Porsche vehicles. We would like to thank Todd at Evolution Motorsport for making the trip over to Fabspeed and also everyone else who came to the track.

July 19th We had a previous customer come back to Fabspeed for the installation of our sport headers on his 2009 Ferrari F430. The customer was here the week prior for the EVOMSit ECU upgrade, and now was ready for even more power. Since Todd from EVO was present, he retuned the ECU at no additional cost.

    July 20th
A local customer popped into Fabspeed with his 997 Turbo which already had our 200 cell sportcats and Muffler bypass pipes installed. They were a bit too loud since he has a TipTronic, so we swapped them out for our Ver. 3 mufflers. While he was here we installed the EVO Boost Recirculation Valves and also tuned the ECU’s with Todd on the Dyno. Just with the ECU program alone, power improved +76HP/98 ft-lbs of torque TO THE WHEELS!!

Also on this day, the fabricators finalized the new dual-style polished tips for the 911 Turbo-930 Maxflo Mufflers.

    July 21st
The prototype X-Pipe muffler bypass was finished and ready to be installed and dyno tested. With Todd here, we were able to dial in the correct air/fuel ratio for the Maxflo sport headers/catbypass pipes/X-Pipe bypass and polished tips. Power improved +18HP/27 ft-lbs of torque to the wheels. With the addition of the ECU upgrade, total power improved to 503WHP/342 ft-lbs of torque.

    July 22nd
KPG from Excellence Auto Carriers came to pick up Todd’s vehicles and bring them back to Arizona. On the carrier, Kevin had the new Audi R8 V10 Spyder, and the Audi R10 TDI that won the 12 hours of Sebring and 24 hours of Le Mans in 2006.

Fabspeed Motorsports wants to thank all of those who made this month very busy for us! We especially want to thank Todd from Evolution Motorsports for making the trek out to the East Coast and joining Fabspeed for a track day and then spending the rest of the week here at the shop dyno tuning.

Thank you guys for the compliments--I haven't had the chance to post on a daily/weekly basis, so I figured I would make one large post. I will probably post another at the end of this month because we've already had a busy week; Jeremy, Alex, and I are leaving tonight for the Concorso Italiano in California.

Exoticcarfan---I can't believe Manny passed away..I was just going to call him on Monday when I saw a post on the forum. What a great guy and from all of us at Fabspeed we wish the best for his Fiance and daughter.
    Thank you,

Thank you guys for the compliments. I'm out here in Monterey for the Concorso Italiano which was an unbelievable event and the Rolex Reunion Race at Laguna Seca was a great experience as well. It's been a really busy weekend and we're flying back to the East Coast in four hours, but here are a few videos from my Droid. (sorry for the bad quality). I will upload images from the event when I get back to the shop on Tuesday.
