Default Relocating to the DC area on Jan 31st

Hi everyone, I have been on this board from some time now but have always stayed in my own region. As of this coming Sunday my wife and I are relocating from Tampa, FL to the DC area.

We really know no one in the area but have been through this relocation game before. I am just looking for information on what type of get togethers people in this region have or local events I could get involved with.

We are bringing our 3 cars with us. They are a 2001 Porsche Carrera 4, a 2001.5 Audi S4, and my daily driver is an 02 VW Jetta Wagon.

I look forward to getting out an about in this area just as soon as we get settled.

Cool man good luck in the area, I've been here a few months but love it so far. You'll see you fit right in with the carrera, I see more porches than hondas haha.

Right now its been kinda dead, but I'm sure it will start picking up as the weather gets warmer. Just keep your eye out in this section!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. We are here now and it looks like I made it just in time for the snow storm of the century or that's what I keep hearing. I guess I am lucky I don't start work until the 8th.

I look forward to meeting up with everyone sometime in the future.

    Welcome to the north! hahahaha

Where did you end up moving to? Tired of the traffic and bad drivers yet?

We did go out to Leesburg and I like it out here. I have a 5 mile drive to catch the express bus which drops me off right in front of my office so I can't say I mind that at all.

I haven't done enough driving out here to know how bad the people are on the road but the stores were nuts last night because of this storm coming in.
