Moving to DC
hey all, i'm going to be moving to dc in january, and i'm looking forward to meeting all the l4p'ers down there.
that said, i'm hoping one of you might be able to give me a tip on finding a place to live. i'm 22, will be working on the hill, and i'm looking to live with fun people in dc proper, preferably near cap hill or a metro entrance. i've been asking friends but coming up short so far, and i'd rather not live with some old lady who owns 50 cats who is offering her room on craigslist, so if anybody has any ideas please let me know.01 Mustang SVT Cobra

Craigslist might be very helpful actually... Ive had a few friends from out of town move here for work and they have all found their place through craigslist.. There are alot of young professionals who have rooms for rent, but i would say try also looking just abit outside of the hill area such as (ballston VA, dupont circle,) they are all metro accesible and have a great young fun crowd surrounding them... If you need any more info or help dont hesitate to PM me. i'll be glad to help..

Can be pricey if you live in the District. As dstylezs mentioned, look at the burbs. Northern VA (Alexandria) is full of young professionals that commute into DC.

Yea alexandria would be another option, aswell as bethesda... Im mentioning places that have metro access with a 25-35min commute.. something that in DC metro should be very manageable, even in rush hour

hey guys, i appreciate the advice, but i really don't want to live outside dc. most of my friends and people my age are in the city, not a fan of md suburbs, don't want a va license, and most importantly, i need to be able to take a cheap cab or walk home after metro is closed at night. and i want like 15-minute commute, 25-35 is waaaay too long. i know how to find a place to live, i'm looking for specific people who need roommates. thanks though.
looking forward to meeting everyone there!
if yall know of any under-25 y/o people who are fun and need a roomate, please shoot a pm, sorry i wasn't totally clear01 Mustang SVT Cobra
