    Default Lamborghini pricing for 2012

    <span style="font-family: georgia,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">

Following our coverage of the 2012 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale, where we talked about the pricing for the Gallardo lineup for 2012, we decided to release what we can anticipate from Lamborghini as a whole in terms of cost.

The base Gallardo is the LP550-2 Coupe. Debuting as a limited Valentino Balboni model, the rear-wheel-drive car is still available for special order in base and limited Bicolore forms for 2012. It is priced from $187,900, not including a $2,995 destination charge and either a $2,100 or $3,000 gas-guzzler tax if you choose the six-speed e-gear or six-speed manual transmission, respectively.

The $207,999 LP560-4 and $231,395 LP560-4 Spyder carry on as the standard Gallardo model. The more track-ready $243,595 LP570-4 Superleggera and its topless equivalent, the Spyder Performante, will also carry on unchanged for 2012. Those prices are for the base car with a six-speed manual transmission and include gas-guzzler tax.

The Aventador LP700-4, which is only available with the new ISR transmission, starts at $393,695.

Didn't realize you could still buy Gallardo's with 6MT....must've gotten that mixed up with the Aventador.

How pathetic is this! And I've seen some SV's still going for $700,000... Unbelievable.

Yeah it's quite upsetting to have them at such a high price compared to O/S. However they won't change their pricing strategies as long as they still sell as many cars as they do now!
