Question Best towel to dry vehicle

Our red Porsche is very susceptible to spider web scratches, and we think the main culprit is using ordinary "beach" towels to dry the car. We'd like the towel to absorb water very effectively, as it will only be used for drying the car, and nothing else.

    Suggestions?

well hell damn near anything would be an improvement
keep the "towels" for the beach and bathroom and off the paint

    here are some options
ProSeries 730GSM Ultra Plush Microfiber Drying Towel, 26-inch x 48-inch

Mothers Microfiber Ultra-Soft Drying Towel, Mothers 155300 : Microfiber Towels

Meguiars Water Magnet Microfiber Drying Towel, Meguiars X2000 : Microfiber Towels

I have three or so of the Meguiars water magnets

    I hear ya.

The first link you provided looks the most promising just based on its size and texture.

Are you happy with the Meguiars ones?

Im pretty sure Jimmy Lucci uses those large plushy grey ones
I have felt them before in showroom and they are really super soft

I am happy with the Meguiar's towels but I know there are better options
They are aging very nicely though so I really cant complain

DI Microfiber Waffle Weave Drying Towel - 36" x 24" | Detailed Image

Those are the towels that I use.

Something else to incorporate is the water sheeting method and an air blower of some sort (compressor, leaf blower, vacuum blower, etc). Check out this article here that I just wrote up...

I've been using Griot's waffle weave drying towels. Might try some of these others.

Actually, upon doing more research, it looks like waffle weave towels are best for drying.

    Can anyone comment on this?

I have a few of the Chemical Guys towels which I'm pretty sure are similar to the ones Detailing.com has. The detailing.com one is also a foot longer. They work great and as long as your wash/dry process is good leave no visible marring. I also do a lot of marine work and one of these will dry a 35+ ft boat after blowing off the surface. Support forum sponsors and pick up a few of these. ProSeries 730GSM Ultra Plush Microfiber Drying Towel, 26-inch x 48-inch
