Default 1957 Chevy Convertible - 31hr correction by Immaculate Reflections

I recently got a call from a new client to take care of a big group of cars for him, and this one was my favorite. A 3 step correction was selected for this classic to bring the luster back to the paint. The car had been painted several years ago with a very nice paint job but it just didn't have the gloss and depth it should have. It had its share of swirls, but also a lot of DA sanding pigtails and deep RIDS. 31 hours later the paint looked great again with lots of gloss and depth, looking how red is supposed to look. Paint was sealed with Zaino Z2pro.

Some DA sanding marks/pigtails and deep RIDS

Compounded and polished out and looking good again

    Deep pigtails from DA sanding

Pigtails removed and surface looking proper

After many hours of compounding and polishing the gloss has been restored

    Nice.
Is the top white or cream?
What do you do to clean that up?

Phenomenal work! Beautiful car too (except for the mirrors, those are just wrong)

I'm so glad you're the one who details my car. Looks phenomenal as usual.

    Looks pretty good.

Just an FYI, you can clearly see the license plate in a few photos, while in others the license plate is distorted. Also, there is one photo with your license plate, and one photo where the LF wheel was distorted (accidentally I presume).
Currently compiling a list of all of the cars I currently own and used to own, but are now sold so I can be like everyone else.
