    Default DIY/How To Question

Hello. Just asking for some advice, I went ahead and tried to clean and shampoo the vinyl seats in my car this past weekend. I've never done it before so I looked a few videos up on youtube. I still have a dry spot on the drivers side seat where it feels like it could tear soon. My question is: is it too late or do I just re-do the process over a few times before the shampoo works its way in? Thank you in advance. Here are some photos so you can see what I'm referring to.

I cleaned the seat first with a dry cloth, then used "blue magic" leather and vinyl cleaner. After that I used the sponge with the shampoo and conditioner provided by the dealership. I used circular motions like suggested when working it in.

Use a brush instead of a cloth for the cleaning.
The pics you provided still show dirt in the cracks... is why I asked.

    Example Product from Swissvax

If you want.... still use the Blue Magic for cleaning. Just try it with a brush.

Here is a seat cleaned with no conditioner.... just cleaned

Ok thank you. How do I make the dry spot soft again? In the first picture it's the spot that is the shiniest by the edge of the seat. You can feel the difference to the touch on it.

If you really want to restore your seats back to a natural new like consistency. I would give the Leatherique system a try. It's an elaborate process but it restores even the most worn leather to new!
One foot in front of the other, until i get to where i want to be.
