Help needed with scratch repair
So changing tires today for a friend and someone else stepped in to change one of the tires and he put the duck head (part of tire machine if you don't know) to close to the rim and scratched the surface around about half of it. Naturally, I feel bad about it as I was changing the tires even if I wasn't responsible for the actual damage. Luckily, the scratch dosent look very deep so Im hoping that it is easily repairable. It is a machined lip so there is no paint to repair. So detailing gurus, what can I do to remove the scratch?
Edit: Unfortunately I dont have any pics so Im hoping I described the damage in enough detail. Any other questions about it, feel free to ask.The following statement is true

I didn't feel it with my nail but I did run my fungertips along it and it didn't feel deep at all.
Sounds good, I'll give that a shot. What type of polisher are you talking about? I have some tools at my disposal but I'm not sure what exactly you are talking about. Examples? Sorry if that's a dumb question, detailing isn't my forte. The following statement is true
