Default School me on starting Car Wash business

Hi L4P member. I am really interested in opening a car wash/ detail shop in the future. I live in los angeles california and would like to have a shop near by. Can you guys give me some info about how to start in the field. I also need info on which license and permits I would need. I need as much info as possible. So if you can help me out that would be great.

If you own a car wash and could give me a couple of pointers I would appreciate it.

    Thank you

That's a taugh geographical location. Not much rain, no snow, you have to have some sort of a niche to really make it. Either super cheap prices for quantity sales, or some sort of personal remote go to people's homes detail business.

On the east coast, you got that weekly rain, then you got the whole winter season with snow, which would be your bread and butter. In California, I don't know man. Cars always look clean, at least when I was there, every car was shiny lol.

actually people in l.a. wash their cars on a weekly basis. Just because we don't get rain or snow doesn't mean that people aren't washing their cars. You would be surprised if you see how packed some of the car washes in l.a. are.

    But thanks for you thought.

Have you though out where you want to build it? There are many around LA so what will bring people to yours? Will you be shooting for the exotics and higher end cars or everyone? Research the supplies you will need and such. I am sure you can find some information on licenses/permits online.
