Mirror Detailing - Whippled Ford GT
Did paint correction on this car back in early May and never got any good after pictures. Owner called me the other day about getting the car cleaned up and back to what it looked like in May. My after pictures then did not come out at all. The owner was gone when I was done, so no sun shots and my flashlight died.
Now to what I did today. Owner had me come out and look at something on the clam shell, that happened while the car was in Utah. Some very heavy mineral water had dripped onto the clam shell overnight in a hotel garage parking and etched the paint. Owner wanted to see if I was able to clean it up and make it a lot less noticeable. Plus the owner had done a lot of dry wipedowns on the car while it was at a track event and some scratches had been induced. So went ahead and did a quick repolish of the paint to remove the scratches. Luckly they were all very light and nothing major. Owner also had me wipe down the engine area and seal/wax the car.
Some old pictures from the previous thread of what the car looked like before...

Now onto the car today...

Engine Area Before....

Engine area after....

Once inside I started working on the etching...

As you can see there was some scratching around it, where the owner tried rubbing it off with a towel after he noticed it. After some test buffing, the buffing was slowly clearing it up, but not fast enough. So owner agreed to try and wet sand it some...after wet sanding.

You can still see some etching deep into the paint, but from a few feet back you dont even notice it and the owner was happy as hell. He was worried that it would need to be repainted.
