Tint on Front Windshield?
I'm orig from NW and never heard of tinting a front windshield.
Spoke with someone local who says it really cuts glare and keeps it cooler inside. Anyone have experience with this. I forget what percent he said he used, but believe it was normally 50% and he went with 35%. He said he didn't have problems with night visibility.

Dont do it. Depending on where you live and what insurance company you have if you get into an accident with the front windshield tinted; your insurance company will not cover you since it violates their terms of service. Only way you can legally use it is if you get a prescription from your eye doctor. I would call your insurance company first before you do anything you might later regret.

I have 20% on my Cobra, including 20% on the sides and have 35% on my Escalade, including 3% on the sides.
I would definitely recommend it, at least 50%. It will keep it much cooler and looks great.

In Illinois you'd get pull over in a heart beat, but it looks awesome!

i'd not do it. ticket magnet big time. i get tickets from side windows let alone windshield.
if you do proceed, do a light tint. less likely to be found.
some shops offer a clear bra like film to be applied on the outside of the windshield. this avoids rock chips on windshield. different purpose and i dont think it offers tinting.
btw, all glass provides 99% UV blocking. if you are concerned about sun damage or temp while parked, get a $15 heat shield.

Damn mixed bag here! Not sold on doing it yet that's for sure. While I already have cop magnets by w/ bright ass dark blue license plates cuz my cars are licensed through an LLC in another state that's tax friendly to an extreme, I guess adding front window tint as well really can't be any more of a draw than the noise level and strange ass plates!
Djantlive - thought my avatar looked okay til i saw yours! Now I'm gonna have to follow suit and find some clad wearin' models for a photo shoot!

They are extremely strict here on window tint in NY. I don't think I've ever seen front window tint at all.
