Thanks guys! I've got plenty more examples to show of some revival projects I performed. My schedule has been very busy, so I haven't had time to post new stuff, looking to change that soon!

I truly think that some of those dealer, body-shop, and car-wash "detail" guys think that holograms are the shine. Really, how could you cause that much damage to a car and think that it looks good?
Oakes you did a great job and turned that car from an embarrassment to a pride worthy object of beauty!

How do those guys actually cause the damage?
I hope they paid for the detail because that was disgusting. thye should be named and shamed.
Great job BTW. Looks great now!

Unfortunately, more than not, this is the case. There is a detail shop about a half mile down the road from my shop, that applies "hand wax" with a rotary buffer and wool pad. I nearly crashed when I passed them working on a black 997 turbo outside, resting the buffer on the ground in direct sunlight "buffing" it. The guys that work with me have seen similar from them in their passings on cars of equal value.
Far too many people don't truly understand the difference in detailers and how important it is to research. I fix a lot of "$99 or $150 FULL details" and in some cases, damage that is non repairable is found. It has become obvious to me that I'm the only one in my area within at least an hour and a half. The next worthy and outstanding detailers are over the bridge in New Jersey or all the way out in Lancaster PA, most of them sponsors on this forum.
This car is an excellent example of improper use by those without the correct experience and knowledge in paint correction. In detailing, you get what you pay for, as with almost anything in the automotive world.
