Default 08 Porsche Cayenne GTS Correction

L4P member Ken.V and his wife just picked this vehicle up to replace their Mini Cooper, vehicle had some dealer installed issues and some deep RIDS on a few places in the finish.

The majority of my time on the onset of the correction was removing the over spray from a shoddy wheel repair to all four wheels(unlike Luis @ LM CARTOUCH UP). I would spend over two hours during the wash phase just cleaning the wheels and another one and a half washing and claying the vehicle.

    Wheel cleaning

Evidence of over spray in the clay

When the wheels were sprayed the guy did not mask very well......

50/50 of clear removed from the tire

    Hard water etching

    Corrected

Rubber trim was UV damaged and dry

One of the areas Ken wanted to correct most was this rear deck trim

    50/50 pic after compounding

    Fully corrected

    Marring on lower bumper(front)

    After compounding

After fine polishing, only 95% correction as the plastic bumper is not measurable with my paint depth gauge

Hood fully polished before LSP(Menzerna Power Lock/ Collinite 915

    Applying sealant

    Default Cayenne correction cont.....

The metal trim in the rear compartment was dull and had an oily purplish film

50/50 pic, corrected side on the right

    Finished down

Another area of concern was the nav screen, which also had a purple oily film(dealer installed no doubt)

    45 minutes later.....

After two coats of MENZERNA Power Lock/one coat of 915 as this car will be spending alot of time outside

    LED shots

Outside pics, exhaust tips nice and clean

    Terrific Job Bob!
As most of you know, Bob has been detailing high-end vehicles for a long time and is the best at what he does! I discovered his abilities first hand when he did my 08 Carrera 4S about 3 months ago. (08 Porsche 997 C4S New Car Prep) Not only is he an excellent detailer, but Bob is also very professional and just a great guy to talk cars with. This time I opted to leave the vehicle with him at his shop as I knew he had his work cut out for him. There were areas of the car that required Bob's magic and he came through making my Cayenne look brand new again! The car looks great Bob, thanks again for another fantastic job!

Great job. My only issue would be driving the car after it looks so good. You almost want to put her in the garage and throw away the keys. Great work.
