I would have to imagine he only removed 5-6 microns roughly...which means he has another 4 times of doing this process. Depending on starting point obviously. I remember someone doing a sanding test and following it with rotary and wool and polishing to perfection, and the results were about 6-7 microns removed. If you figure a 40/40/40 average (P/B/C), there is still room

I removed about 4-5 microns on average on the hood, and about 6-7 on the fender. So I left about 97% of clear coat still there.

Yes, there was still above 130 microns in most cases across the board.
(Though I was always told 25/25/50 Primer/Base/Clear
