    Default Sully's Detailing Write Ups

I had a 6 hour time limit on this car. When I saw the car 2 days ago I didn't think the paint was that bad, but after I started to correct the paint I noticed it was going to take alot more work. I used the same Cyan Hydro pad on this car as I did on the Rossion Q1. Man these pads gave me problems. They where clean and dry but they would not completely remove all the swirls. So after I had to go over the whole vehicle with a flat orange Lake country pad and then I finished with a white kompressor Lake Country pad.

    Exterior:
    Poorboy's World Super Slick Suds
    Pinnacle Clay
    Pinnacle Clay Lube
    P21S Polishing Soap

    Wheels/Tires
    DP Gel Wheel Cleaner
    Megs Hyper Dressing 2:1

    Correction
M105 (LC Cyan Hydro/Flat Orange LC
    M205 (White Kompressor LC Pad)

    LSP:
    Pinnacle Souveran Paste

Since I was in a time crunch for this car I only have 3 50/50 shots, but you can see how bad the paint was.

Ok to start off I did not expect this car to be in such bad shape. The car's owner said that the car was not swirled to bad when he first bought it but after bringing the car to the dealer for two services the dealships detailers hacked up his paint.

    Exterior:
    Wolfgang Auto Bath
    Wolfgang Poly Clay
Wolfgang Sprits Quick Detail (Clay Lube)

    Rims, Tires, Exhaust Tips
    Dodo Juice Rim Cleaner
    Wolfgang Poly Clay
Steel Wool and Mother all purpose metal polish for the exhaust tips

    Interior:
    Griot Garage Interior Cleaner
    Wolfgang Leather Care Cleaner
    Wolfgang Leather Care Conditioner
    Wolfgang Carpet and Upholstery Restore

    Paint Correction and LSP:
    Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0
    Wolfgang Finishing Glaze

This client is in the process of moving to a bigger house so the garage is filled with his moving stuff. Due to this his car stays outside for the time being. He wanted a 1-step/AIO polish. So I used XMT360 with hydro tang pad via Griot Garage DA.

    Exterior:
    Poorboy's World Super Slick Suds
    Wolfgang Clay
    Wolfgang Clay lube
    P21S Polishing Soap (exhaust tips)

    Wheels/Tires
    DP Gel Wheel Cleaner
    Hyper Dressing 1:1

    Correction:
    XMT360

    LSP:
    Pinnacle Liquid Souveran

    After:
    50/50 Exhaust tip

I use them on all then cars as well. Normally doing a 1 step correction on car I will use 2-3 pads and can used them on 2-3 cars. I did a full correctiion on the Q1 with the Hydro pads it came out great then I moved on to the M3 and it wasnt correcting 100%. The pads were clean and dry so I dunno here I went wrong

hydro pads were designed for uber hard as nails clear coats. The BMW's have some of the softest clear coats out there right now for the most part. That was probably some of the issue of them not getting you to a 100%. I like the Hydrotechs for a lot of jobs but they can be testy from time to time as well.
