    Default Tinting question

Ok, so I want to get the windows tinted in my Superleggera. Problem is that the rear small windows, and the main rear are plastic. I understand that it will fvck them up, but see lots of pix of folks with tinted windows. Thoughts?

Best Image Tint in San Mateo, a very realiable and guaranteed satisfaction shop. Our family has had all our cars done there. Talk to Frank and he'll let you know what to do. Check them out on Yelp and give them a call. Best Image - San Mateo, CA

The tint itself won't actually fook the windows up, as there's no harsh solvents or anything like that to mar it. The removal however will, if not done properly. A good quality film like 3M should hold up throughout the years. Another thing that could damage them is dry rotting, but again with a good film you shouldn't have that problem... also, I don't think you're going to be leaving that piece of art out in the elements anyway .

Cool... I had heard that the heating process will turn the polycarbonate windows brown, but that sounds promising...

Just make sure the tinter DOES NOT pre-cut the pieces for the rear windows on the outside of them. They will scratch. They need to make a paper template and then cut the film on a clean table. Also lower heat should be used as it might cause damage to the plastic windows. And each side window for a SuperG is around 6K

It is not recommended to tint over the polycarbonate windows as all tint adhesives will eventually bubble. It is designed specifically for glass application. In addition, if you need the tint removed at a later time for any reason, the adhesive is very difficult to remove.
