No its not a network, its a partnership. Will I be there, Hopefully I'm lucky enough to perform services with my new partner. It will be a great time for both of us. How do you find it misleading? Kind of an odd thing to ask. How is it misleading? Barry got a partner in S. Florida and is going to be running Presidentail Details... Seems pretty straight forward to me. You don't think Ray Croc stepped foot in every McDonald's and personally ran them do you? Hence the whole partnership and expansion. Guess I'm confused as to why anyone would be offended by this. Or how it effects anyone else's professional business (unless they are in S. Florida I guess)... Just an odd comment I must say.

I agree Jake. A business expansion doesn't seem misleading at all. Expanding on the pro detailers your business has as well as the area your business reaches out to seems like a smart idea as long as it can support itself - and with the two men that make up Presidential Details, I doubt they'll have too many problems.

Well Jake....first of all you assume I am offended. I am not his customer and could care less about what he does with his business. Butstating a partnership means that someone else is involved. Therefore unless he is performing all the work, his OP made it sound like HE was serving both areas. which is fine. But if he is not, why not tell who the partner is? I WOULD want to know if I was a customer, and in an advertising thread such as this, I just think it creates shade by not formallyy intoducing the whole thing.

Like I said, Barrys decisions don't affect, bother, or offend me. I was just stating what I thought. I've had 4 startups, 6 partners, and sold 2 businesses for a profit. I don't need a lesson. BTW, Ray Kroc sold franchises.....he didn't have partners except for the McDonald's brothers. Franchises are different than partnerships. Over and out for me on this topic. I hate pissing in the wind.

I guess he has a better relationship with you than with me. I work and live 20 minutes down the road from him and we have had several conversations on the phone in the past year. I think Barry is a terrific detailer and a good man. I even met up with him at his home a few weeks ago to talk life and detailing for 2 hours. I thought we had a good time and even discussed working together in the near future. But I guess he saw it a different way. Would have been nice to hear from him.

I have no 'tood' when it comes to any detailers in my area or anywhere else. I just stated what I thought...but I 'll be more careful in posting my thoughts on this board and just stick to detailing discussions.

I am being very honest when I say I wish PD the best and much more success. What else is there to say? I apologize for any hard feelings and my post since it obviously offended guys I take pride in sharing a passion with.
