    Default Beck Speedster 356 (Porsche)

Lapis blue sppedster in need of cosmetic restoration, car was pretty rough with the finish needing some major correction. After the initial scratch removal I could still see heavy orange peel and decided to knock down the texture with the least amount of paint removed but still add some gloss and clarity, thus I wet sanded with 3000 grit over the whole car.

    Initial condition of the car

Door taped off for test area

    Correction BEFORE wet sanding

More examples of the marred finish

    Compounding tight area near trim

After sanding I had to brake out the DeWalt and the twisted wool on the older solvent urethane paint

Correcting holograms put in by the aggressive wool correction, rear quarter has more clarity and gloss

    Finish polish being broken down

    Finish starting to look good

    Brightwork was looking dull

With some polish the windshield trim starting to come back to life

Quite a bit of rain lately, semi sun shots were all I could get between rain showers

That sure was a pretty car there! Very nice Bob. You gotta love the bigger wool. I always say you know the old timers by the pads they use! lol I still have a box of my 2 inch pile schligal bolt on pads! I use to use that green edge pad all the time. Was a favorite of mine for a while. Bob that car looks outstanding!

Perfect color for the car, and another knock-out documentation of top-notch work being performed. Great job

Very nice Bob. What did you do with that rear window? The transformation was amazing.
