Hello Detailing Forum
I don't want to disrespect the sponsors but I was wondering if it is okay to post details?

Thank you for asking, yes it is for time being with no mention of your buiness name. This has been some what challenging and confusing for us how to deal with but will figure it out soon.
Thanks

The problem here is that a few very talented people such as You Dave and the original poster contribute financially to the growth and maintenance of this forum, so it is really not fair to our detailing sponsors to pay while others promote their business free. Whats your take on that? I am really curious since I am searching for a solution.

BTW, I totally understand if those pics (ie the watermarks) are against forum policy. Unfortunately I have had so many pics stolen that I cannot be too careful. I have even had another detailer pretend to be me and do 4k of damage to a Lamborghini, but that's a different story for a different day...

*Please read my entire response
To be honest Raw no I do not contribute financially to this forum, but I do put up informational writeups in the detail section, and have been doing so for almost a year now (well since I met you and Knick at the Wynn hotel room during SEMA last year, which is how I found out about the 4 in the first place)... so many of these guys have come onto to the detail section within the past few months, many of whom solely to promote themselves and post in the detail section ONLY.
Im not gonna BS you and say im not here to advance myself at all, of course I want people to see my work and build a reputable name for myself, but in doing so I contribute to L4P as a whole and not just what benefits me personally.
I do not have my business name flashed in pics, and have complied with all of your requests when posting in the detail section.
I post in all sections and contribute to the Northeast section of L4P almost daily in regards to meets and runs which I attend. I have made solid friends at those meets, went to support both Midnight Runs which Greg setup, go on drives with the guys and I have brought more than a few new members here (none of which are detailers)
The customers I have gained off of the 4 have been pretty much all guys who attend the local meets. If I didnt care about L4P or the people here I would not attend the meets and be supportive of this forum.
I think that doing cars for members and showcasing them is nice for the owners to be honest, quality pics of their cars transformation... they ask me if I will put pictures up when I finish
I know this is a trite thing to say but I have been here longer than any other detailer with the exception of Bob.
In regards to sponsors I have zero effect on their detail business. Both Bob (who I worked with and is a very close friend) and GI are located thousands of miles away, my customers are NJ/NY guys.
Im not going to beg to stay in the detail section but if I go (than all the other detailers will have to go) and the detail section in all honesty will have very little content.
With those write-ups, members, not even perspective customers I might add can easily learn a thing or two about how to care for their own car. And from most of the responses you see in the threads a lot of members enjoy seeing pictures of the transformations.
If im causing no direct harm to anyone, supporting the forum and providing maybe a tiny bit of entertainment for the guys who are into detailing than I dont see a problem.
Just my opinions and I thank you for asking what I think about the situation

Dave I appreciate that and agree with you 100%. Love your posts and you have always treated the site with respect. I have no problem with you or other detailers show casing your work and if members are interested they will directly pm you. But to be fair to our sponsors I am asking for the business names, emails, websites not to be mentioned or part of your user name. thats the privilege that paid sponsors receive. Does that sound fair?
Please keep in mind that this is not directed towards you in any way and is just away for us to find a solution and I appreciate your input.
Thanks
RAW
