    Default Good recipes with Honey?

Earlier this year I became part of a honey bee co-op. For $50 / year I was able to get honey through-out the summer and now I was given 1/10th of the final "harvest".

Long story short I have 6 1qt mason jars full of rich golden honey. Today I made honey carrots and a chicken with balsamic vinegar and honey marinade. I need more recipes, particularly popular recipes that maybe substitute some sort of sugar for honey. I will cook them and report back . This week I want to bake cup cakes with a honey something frosting.

Well if it helps I use honey in my coffee and a little nutmeg thats always good.

If you have toast or muffins also for brekkie you can do honey butter mmmmm.
(also good with salty foods IE pretzels.

I use it in my dough recipes in place of sugar with the yeast. Works well in pizza dough, and, if you grill the dough it would be awesome topped with some honey for a dessert.

So instead of sugar you use honey to feed the yeast? Hadn't thought of that one, does it come out sweeter than sugar eg; desert kinda bread or hardly noticeable? I can see pizza being real yummy

@Street, mead would be awesome but a year or so ago I attempted a home brew and it had disastrous results.

    No difference in flavor profile.

I imagine you could sub it in for some of the water and end up with a dessert bread.

Need to give that a go.

Let me know how it turns out if you do the sweeter version.

Dude, +1 on the honey pizza!!!
I've always been a fan of butter and honey on french toast instead of syrup and powdered sugar.

    Pork Tenderloin marinade...
    1/3 cup Honey
    1/3 cup Dijon Mustard
    1/3 cup Soy Sauce.

Mix all three ingredients together, until uniformly mixed.
Put two pork tenderloins in a bowl, and pour over the mix. let sit refrigerated for a day.

Grill, and turn over every 3 minutes, basting with the leftover sauce.

    Cut into medallions, and enjoy!
