If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

Jose Cuervo FTL.
I tried their pre-mixed magaritra once; my first time too, up at Tahoe; the guy opened "the bar" (his trunk) as soon as we hit the hotel parking lot (we were a convoy of 35 Cobra's). Within 5 minutes, I got the classic headache from JC. I really wish they would go out of business; they are to tequila what Thunderbird is to Robert Mondavi.

Another vote for El Patron Silver and the Reposado. The Burdeos is more like a brandy but I find it impossible to justify the price. It's also hard to reconcile "sipping" and tequila, though it makes for a nice change every once and a while. Strangely enough I've never had the Gran Patron (platinum).
Over the years I've had a couple (ok, many) other of the older Reposado and Aņejo I loved while in Mexico -- sitting at La Distilleria (sp?) in Cancun comes to mind in particular -- but I couldn't tell you what they were if my life depended on it...Loves wine, women and song
