Lightbulb TXSTYLE: Southern-Style Fried Catfish Nuggets!

The name says it all! One of the deep South's best "comfort/soul foods" to be had.

    Here's what I use:

*Depending on quantity ingredients can be increased or decreased*

Catfish nuggets or cut up fillets
bowl w/ an egg and milk beaten
Cornbread Mix (enough to cover fish) instead of plain cornmeal, as it has flour and the meal is ground more finely and better taste.
    Seasoning Salt
Vegetable Oil (enough to submerge fish)

I own a deep fryer but it takes a half gallon of oil just to fully submerge fish, so I just use a 10in skillet.

Submerge fish in milk & egg to coat, then cover with mix.
Cook over med-high heat 12-14 min (turning fish if using a skillet) once.

Serve with tarter sauce or my must-have condiment for fish here in the South:

If you wanna go REAL Southern with a meal... Add a side of Mac & Cheese and seasoned Turnip Greens with a glass of Sweet Tea.
Give Thanks For Your Blessings... For It All Belongs To The Almighty.
